Perhaps this problem is not just a problem of missionaries, but rather anybody in the ministry. Even Christians dealing with other people in the world, it is a problem. The problem is that people are deceptive, and it can be assumed to be a rule that the majority of people will tell you whatever you want to hear in order for them to get some kind of gain from you.
